Donation Trace
In this case study, I showcase the creation of a comprehensive website for a charity organization. The website addresses challenges in donation management, fundraising, and donor engagement. Through intuitive design and transparent reporting, the website serves as a central hub for donation processing, campaign tracking, and supporter engagement, fulfilling the charity’s mission with efficiency and transparency.

The goal of the website was to create a centralized platform for the charity to effectively manage donation and fundraising activities, engage with donors, and provide transparency about how donations are utilized.

Problem
The charity lacked a robust online presence and efficient tools for managing donations and fundraising campaigns. Donors faced challenges in making contributions, and there was a lack of transparency regarding how donations were allocated and the impact of fundraising efforts.
Solution
Our solution involved designing and developing a comprehensive website with dedicated sections for donation processing, fundraising campaigns, donor engagement, and transparency reporting. The website features an intuitive donation portal that allows donors to make contributions securely and conveniently. Fundraising campaign pages showcase the charity’s initiatives, progress, and impact, encouraging supporters to contribute and track campaign success. Transparency is ensured through detailed financial reporting and impact updates, fostering trust and accountability among donors. Additionally, the website incorporates features to engage donors, such as interactive elements, volunteer resources, and regular updates on the charity’s activities. Overall, the website provides a robust solution for the charity to effectively manage donations, engage with supporters, and advance its mission of creating positive social impact
Design Process
User Research/Analysis:
Conducted interviews and surveys with charity stakeholders, donors, and potential users to understand their needs, pain points, and preferences. Analyzed competitor websites and existing donation platforms to identify best practices and areas for improvement.
Design
Based on user research findings, created wireframes and prototypes for both desktop and mobile versions of the website. Iteratively refined designs based on feedback from stakeholders, ensuring intuitive navigation, clear communication of the charity's mission, and seamless donation process
Review and Iteration
Gathered feedback from charity members, donors, and other stakeholders through usability testing and design reviews. Incorporated feedback to refine the website's design, improve usability, and optimize the donation experience. Iteratively tested and refined the website until it met the needs and expectations of users and stakeholders.
